Retreat #27 (Jen's #) | Summer #11

For eleven summers, during 26 different retreats, catchers have walked in one version of themselves and walked out another. Some are here for the first time. Some are returning to see how far they’ve come. Either way, it’s the same challenge. Every one of them is evolving. You vs You. 1:1.

THE MANIFESTO

Catchers are different.

They see the whole field. They call the game. They lead from behind the plate with more responsibility than any other position in softball.

They’re powerful. They’re a little crazy. They’re the eyes of the field — the ones who make everyone around them better.

But being a catcher can feel lonely.

You’re rare. You’re misunderstood. You carry a lot. The Retreat is where that changes.

For three jam-packed days, your daughter is surrounded by girls exactly like her.

She’s not just learning. She’s becoming.

She’ll walk out different than she walked in.

This is not a camp. This is not a clinic. This is where catchers evolve.

For 11 summers, we’ve watched girls walk in one version of themselves and walk out another.

It's Her vs Her.

11 Years of Girls Who Evolved.

People come back year after year not because of the swag bag —

but because of who their daughters become in those three days.

“I sent my daughter to the retreat as one athlete and got back someone completely different.

More confident. More sure of herself. More alive behind the plate.

I asked her on the drive home, ‘What happened there?’
She just smiled.

I don’t know what kind of magic Jen Schro works, but something changed in my kid that weekend — and it’s still showing up every time she steps on the field.”

Hallie’s Mom

“I’ve taken my daughter to a lot of clinics over the years.

Nothing — and I mean nothing — is run like a Jen Schro retreat.

The level of intention, the teaching, the way the girls are seen and pushed… it’s different.

In just a few hours Jen helped my daughter believe in herself in a way I hadn’t seen before.

It didn’t just change her catching.

It changed her.”

GIA'S MOM

DSC02658.jpg

“I watched my daughter push herself harder than I’ve ever seen.

She fought for every rep. She refused to quit. She kept showing up.

By the end of the retreat she was exhausted… but her head was held high and she was absolutely glowing.

Jen helped her see who she truly is- not just as a catcher, but as a teammate, a competitor, and a young woman.

That kind of impact lasts far beyond a softball field.”

ROBIN

DSC03108.jpg

“Kati showed up to the Winter Tour with confidence and grit.

But she walked out with something new.

Swagger.

The kind that comes from knowing you belong, knowing you’ve earned it, and knowing you can handle whatever the game throws at you.

As a mom, that shift was incredible to watch.”

KATI's mom

“If you have a daughter who catches and you ever get the chance to attend one of Jen Schro’s events do it.

No hesitation.

The instruction is elite, the environment is powerful, and the impact on these girls is real.

You’ll see the difference immediately.”
